If you are looking for birth or death records from 1841 onwards, you need to pay about six dollars in person, eleven dollars via mail and nineteen dollars via phone or fax. Records between 1841-1910 can be obtained from Massachusetts state archives for a fee of $3.00. For any record before 1841, you need to contact the city or town where the birth occurred.

To get marriage or divorce records from 1841 (in case of marriage) and from 1952 (in case of divorce), you need to pay six dollars in person, $11.00 via mail and $19.00 via phone or fax.
