In order to obtain the court records work in Delaware, you should pay to office of vital statistics via check or money. You should also provide a copy of your driver’s license or other official valid picture identifications.

For birth records from 1933 onwards, you need to pay about ten dollars. You should include good information with your request including the full name of the person listed on the certificate, date of birth, place of birth, full name of father, full maiden name of mother, your relationship to the person whose certificate you are requesting, the reason for your request and your address and signature. You need to contact the Delaware public archives for birth records earlier than 1913.


To obtain court records from 1965 onwards, you need to pay about ten dollars and also include valid information on the following:

a) The full legal name of the deceased

b) The date of death

c) The county

d) Sex of the deceased

e) Date of birth

f) Age at death

g) Race

h) Name of spouse

i) Name of parents

j) The reason for request of the record

k) Your relationship to the person listed on the certificate.
