I have always been a firm believer in feeding my dog the top quality in dog treats and food. I’m picky about the quality of ingredients in my own food; why wouldn’t I be just as picky about what my dog eats? Foods I particularly love are Flint River Ranch dog food or Wysong dog food.

Lately, I have been investigating the selection of new, organic dog treats. I love giving my dog treats as a reward for performing cute tricks. Up until recently, I had been giving my dog treats from a producer of organic dog food under the assumption the treats were also organic. I was wrong.

Beyond organic food and dog treats being healthier for my dog they are also better for the environment. I like to know that the purchases I make are not contributing to our water sources being polluted by pesticides that are completely unnecessary in this day and age when there are so many non-polluting options available to farmers.

When switching to organic dog food and treats there are a few things that you may want to look for. Strict organic producers will clearly market their product this way. Web searching is a quick way to find out if they are truly organic or not. There will be many resources, other than the maker, that you can look at to find their organic validity.

You can find online several web sites for tracking organic projects and products. Some of these companies certify other companies or their products as organic. By finding companies and products approved as organic, you can be more certain you will find a good product.

Some people harbor considerable concerns regarding the switch to organic products. Expense is one of these major concerns. It is true that organic products often cost more than their non-organic counterparts. However, the cost difference is usually quite minor when compared to the better quality of organic goods.

A further issue that concerns some dog owners is that their dogs might have a problem if they change their pet’s food or treats. I and other people I know have varied our dogs’ food and there were no problems. In fact, my dog was livelier and seemed to have improved wellbeing.

I like the improvements I have seen by feeding my dog products such as Flint River Ranch Dog Food and Wysong Dog Food. Many people have been investigating organic dog treats for their canine companions. Some people will offer treats to their dog as praise for desired behavior. Even if the canine treats you have chosen are made by a reputable organic food company, they might contain artificial ingredients. Of course organic treats and food are more nutritious for your dog. Most organic makers will clearly market their materials as organic. If you are unsure if they are really organic or not, just do a quick web search.
